Animation Comparison
I recently purchased Assassins Creed: Valhalla and I am thoroughly enjoying the game. The graphics are great and the gameplay is fun. One thing that stood out to me is the animations. Some of the animations in the game looked weird and disconnected. For example, while I was in combat with an enemy Saxon, Eivor (the playable character) grabbed a downed Saxon's weapon to finish him with it. The animation was smooth but Eivor's arm went through his own armor to grab the weapon on the ground. Seeing this made me feel disappointed in the developers. It made me think back to my time playing Red Dead Redemption 2. I remembered how smooth and polished the game felt. There was some animation clipping in the game but it was so little that I barely even noticed. I feel like more game devs need to take the time to polish their games before release instead of releasing a half finished game. I payed $60 for a triple A experience. I feel like we need to raise the standard of Triple A games.
